Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SRMIST, Delhi-NCR campus, conducted an Internal Campus Hackathon (software edition) of uninterrupted 24 hours. The Hackathon was organized from 5th February 10:00 am to 6th February 10:00 am in CSE Department Computer Lab 1 and Lab 2.
The students were asked to select their problem statements from SIH portal and submit a Power point Presentation based on the template provided on or before 19th January 2020. A total number of 20 submissions comprising 120 students were received from different teams. Each team comprising 6 participants and consisting of at least one female member participated in the event. The department finalised total best 5 teams + 2 waitlisted teams from the internal hackathon (Softare Edition) .These selected teams will be recommended by SPOC for SIH 2020 Software edition at SIH portal.
The students were assisted round the clock by the faculty members, staff, and security during the event. Suitable arrangements for Internet connectivity, lunch, dinner, snacks (samosa pizza, paratha, patties), fruits, coffee, chips, biscuits etc were made during the Internal Campus Hackathon for 24 hours. Arrangement for few fun games (Carom, Chess, Ludo, Bone Fire, Light music) were also made for the participants to get relaxed. The students showed their full talent and came up with very good solutions for the problems blocked by them.
