Auditorium at SRMIST NCR Modinagar Campus. SRMIST Delhi-NCR Modinagar campus has added a remarkable feather in its cape towards the upliftment of the society by celebrating International Women’s Day to acknowledge the strength and power of women and their exemplary contribution in the society.
The program started with celestial lamp lighting and with the blessings of the Almighty in the presence of Director of SRMIST NCR Modinagar Dr, Sanjay Vishwanathan, Dean of SRMIST DELHI-NCR Campus Dr. R. P Mahapatra, Dean IQAC Prof. Dhowmya Bhatt, Dean Science and Humanities Prof. Navin Ahlawat, and the HODs of various departments. Ms. Nilisha, the anchor of the cultural segment invited the stalwarts of women fraternities of SRMIST DELHI-NCR Campus to inspire and motivate woman from different socio-economic backgrounds.
Dr. Vishu V., the Head of the MCA department shared her enlightening words and acknowledged the challenges women face and their art of assimilating in various circumstances. She revered women’s tactful management of the professional aspect of their life which gives women self-identity in society, and their constant vigilance to look after the family which brings a balance to their personal life. Dr. Vishu V. encouraged women to dazzle society with their inspirational deeds. Chief of Exam Cell, Dr. Ranjana Dubey delivered an insightful and informative speech by acknowledging the contribution of the successful women of the society. She expressed special gratitude for those women who are truly responsible for the transformation of society.
One of the pioneer ladies of the institution of SRM, Dean IQUAC Dr. Dhowmya Bhatt was invited to share her valuable perspective on women and she inspired with her words of wisdom. She stated, each woman must stand for her self-identity and that women must be their own saviour since women are absolute capable. She opines that empowering woman is not a compulsion but rather it is compulsory. Her words truly portray the image of women in our society. Success of the society is possible with equal contributions from both women and men.
Dr Charu Singh, Scientist SF and Smt. Dipti Mohit Chawala IDAS were the guest of honour and the chief guests of the Event. Director SRMIST Delhi-NCR Campus admired the contribution and dedication of woman in the success of SRM since the innovative and constructive ideas of woman power is taking the institution on a path of success. Dr. Charu Singh, scientist at Atmospheric Science Department acknowledged the success and contribution of woman in the field of space and science. Smt. Dipti Mohit Chawla, Additional Secretary of Department of Defence shared her dynamic and insightful thoughts with the audience. She highlighted the achievement of women and how society advances with the valuable support of not just educated woman holding office jobs, but also women who work in blue collar jobs or are stay at home mothers. Our Dean R. P Mahapatra and the Director Dr. S. Viswanathan presented Dr. Charu Singh the Guest of Honor award, and Smt. Dipti Chawla was conferred the Icon of woman Empowerment award.
The day witnesses some colourful cultural performances by students and the event concluded successfully with national anthem.
