Anti Ragging

Ensuring a safe, respectful, and zero-tolerance campus environment across SRM Institute of Science & Technology.

As per the guidelines of the UGC Act, 1956 SRM IST constituted an Anti-Ragging Cell on all their campuses. The objectives of this cell are to:

Make students aware of the dehumanizing effects of ragging,
Keep a strict vigil over, and prevent the occurrence of any such activities,
Promptly and effectively deal with any such incidents to ensure they do not occur again,
Deliberate and decide upon suitable forms of punishment as per the nature of the ragging incident, and
Generate an atmosphere where ragging in any form – mental, physical or verbal - is not tolerated.
